| Abstract: | Abstract: Self-medication is the selection and use of medicine to treat self-recognized illness. It is prevalent all over the world, knowing and unknowing every person at some point of life has done the self-medication. It can cause different type of health related issues. The prevalence of self-medication has been increasing. The main aim of this study is to identify the factor affecting self-medication for allopathic medicine in acute diseases among the adult of Morang district and to analyze the prevalence of self-medication. This cross-sectional study design will be done in Mitlajung Rural Municipality of Morang district. A total 408 household was selected from the 788 subjects by systematic random sampling. Semi-structured questionnaire will be used as a tool to collect the information regarding self-medication use in past three month associated with socio-demographic factor, health service related factor and the disease condition affecting the self-medication. Self-medication can cause different type of health issues so this study can help to identify the factor affecting self-medication. |
