Abstract: | Executive Summary: Abortion was legalized in Nepal in 2002, the procedural order1 was passed in2003, and the first ever Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) service was startedat the Maternity Hospital, Kathmandu, in March 2004. Two years later (April 2006), there were 122 approved facilities (76 governments and 46 non-governmentalorganizations) located across 66 districts. |
